Sunil Kumar Gautam, Special Commissioner of Police (Operations) was honoured with ‘Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Award‘ for his book titled ‘Samvidhan Kavya‘. He was awarded by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The book depicts the Constitution of India in a very simple and poetic form to make it understandable to the common man in a very simple manner.In addition to this, books of four other police officers from across the country have also been rewarded.
Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant was an Indian freedom fighter and one of the architects of modern India. Alongside Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabh Bhai Patel, Pant was a key figure in the movement for India’s Independence and later a pivotal figure in the Indian Government.
To honour his exemplary services to the nation, Pant received India’s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1957.
