SMVDU signed MoU with NISE to achieve national solar mission

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Jammu and National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work jointly to achieve the objective of National Solar Mission through training programmes. The MoU will be valid till 5 years.

The main aim is to work jointly to achieve the objective of the national solar mission through training programmes. The MoU valid for five years.It was signed by Prof Mukkapandhoy and Prof V K Bhat of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) and Deputy General Director of NISE Dr Chandan Banerjee, said SMVDU PRO Rajan Badyal.

National Institute of Solar Energy :

National Institute of Solar Energy, an autonomous institution of Ministry of New and Renewable (MNRE), is the apex National R&D institution in the field Solar Energy. The Government of India has converted 25 year old Solar Energy Centre (SEC) under MNRE to an autonomous institution in September, 2013 to assist the Ministry in implementing the National Solar Mission and to coordinate research, technology and other related works.
