Rajasthan bagged the Best innovation and initiative leadership award 2019 in the 14th elets World Education Summit (WES) held at New Delhi. The award is for its achievements in higher education. The award was received by the Minister of State for Higher Education Bhanwar Singh Bhati.
- The State was awarded for promoting higher education with the emphasis on inculcating ethical values among the students and developing their skills to face competitive exams. Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati of Rajasthan helped to improve Free education for girls in higher studies. Because of this now there are 100 boys of 108 girls studying in government colleges.
- The summit was organised by Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd in association with Government of Nagaland, Government of Manipur, Government of Uttarakhand and the Government of Rajasthan. The summit was powered by NoPaperForms on 9-10 August in Delhi 2019.
- The representatives from 8 countries and 17 States of India attended the two-day summit including the State Higher and Technical Education Secretary Vaibhav Galriya and Commissioner of College Education Pradeep Kumar Borad.
- The summit felicitated edu-tech corporate and start-up for their innovation in education landscape. The summit also recognises the contributions of teachers through “Teachers Glory Awards” introduced for the first time.
