Essential Qualification and Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Commerce or Arts with minimum 50% marks. Please refer para 5 for details of acceptable Bachelor Degree.

Assistant Gr. 1 (F&A)

A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with minimum 50% marks. Please refer para 6 for details of acceptable Bachelor Degree.

Assistant Gr. 1 (C&MM)

A Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) OR Commerce with minimum 50% marks Please refer para 7 for details of acceptable Bachelor Degree.

Selection Process :

Stage-1 –Preliminary Test

It will be a screening examination to be held to shortlist candidates. The format of the screening examination shall be common for all the non-technical cadres. In keeping with the minimum educational qualification of graduation as per the Recruitment Norms, the questions will be of Graduation level.

The examination will consist of 50 multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) of 1-hour duration in the following proportion:

3 marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Qualifying Standards: The qualifying standards shall be as follows:

General Category (UR) – 40% marks;

OBC/PWBD – 30% marks.

Stage-2- Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration)

All candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test. The test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) from the following:

Quantitative Aptitude

25 Questions

Critical Reasoning

25 Questions

3 marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Qualifying Standards: The qualifying standards shall be as follows:

General Category (UR) – 30% marks;

OBC/PWBD – 20% marks.

Note: A merit list of candidates will be prepared after Stage-2 based upon scores obtained in Stage-2 only.

In the event of a tie;

# Candidates with lower negative marks in Stage-2 to be placed higher on the merit list.

# Candidates with higher marks in Stage-1 to be placed higher on the merit list.

# Candidates with lower negative marks in Stage-1 to be placed higher on the merit list.

# Date of birth of the candidates.

Stage-3: Skill Test

Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, Candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test.

The number of candidates shortlisted for Skill Test would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Stage-2 but shall not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies for each post.

Skill test for Assistant Grade-1

Typewriting Test on Personal Computer (PC); and Computer Proficiency Test.

Skill test for Steno Grade-1

Stenography Test, Typewriting Test on Personal Computer (PC); and Computer Proficiency Test.

Note: Preference will be given to those candidates who possess knowledge of Hindi Typing/Hindi Stenography.

Note: The Skill tests will be of qualifying nature only on GO/No Go basis.
