India represented by INS Rana at Surabaya in Navy Bilateral Exercise ‘ Samudra Shakti’


INS Rana reached the port of Surabaya to participate in the 7-day inaugural edition of Indian Navy – Indonesian Navy Bilateral Exercise ‘Samudra Shakti’. It will strengthen bilateral relations, expand maritime co-operation, enhance interoperability and exchange best practices.

Samudra Shakti :

The exercise started with Harbour Phase which encompassed planning and briefing on various activities, professional interactions, cross deck visits, sports fixtures and social interactions. It was progressed by Sea Phase which included operations such as joint manoeuvres, helicopter operations, surface warfare exercise, ASW exercise and anti-piracy exercises. Indian Navy was represented by INS Rana of Eastern Fleet based at Visakhapatnam under Eastern Naval Command, which is deployed in South East Asia.
