New Vehicles to be Pre-Fitted with High Security Registration plates from April, 2019 :

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways notified amendments to central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 and announced that all new vehicles will be sold pre-fitted with the high-security registration plates from 1st April 2019. The High Security Registration plates helps in keeping track of the vehicle so that lost or stolen vehicles can be traced.

“The Republican Ethic” and “Loktantra ke Swar” books released :

The Vice President of India Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu released Compilation of Selected speeches of the President, Ram Nath Kovind titled, “The Republican Ethic” in English and “Loktantra ke Swar” in Hindi at a function in Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Both the books- The Republican Ethic & Loktantra ke Swar are a collection of President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind’s selected speeches made by him in the first year of assuming the office. The event has been organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.

Ministry Of New and Renewable Energy Conferred Skoch Award :

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India has been conferred the Skoch Award for National Significance at an event held recently in New Delhi. The award was received by Secretary, Ministry of New Renewable Energy Shri Anand Kumar.

Panama 1st Latin American nation to join Belt and Road Initiative :

The Strategic Central American Nation, Panama became the first Latin American Country to join China’s ambitious Belt and Road Initiative after the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Panama. Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Panamanian counterpart Juan Carlos Varela inked 19 separate deals during the bilateral meeting.

Italy Won Admiral’s Cup Sailing Regatta 2018 :

Team Italy won the Admiral’s Cup 2018. The ninth edition of ‘Admirals Cup’ Sailing Regatta (2018) concluded with a glittering closing ceremony at Ettikulam Beach at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala. Team Singapore was the Runners-Up and Team USA came third. The host country team (Indian Naval Academy) finished fourthin the overall position of Admiral’s Cup 2018.
