Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Achieved 5 Core Mark :

Loksabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan handed over 5 croreth LPG connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) to Smt Takrdiran of Delhi in the Parliament House. The 5 crore feat has been achieved in the time period of over 2 years.  PM Modi launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) on 1st May 2016 and it is implemented by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas through its Oil Marketing Companies i.e., IOC, BPCL and HPCL through their network of distributors across the country.

‘Swachha Meva Jayate’ cleanliness campaign launched by Karnataka government :

Karnataka government launched ‘Swachha Meva Jayate’ campaign.
It was launched by Dr G Parameshwara, deputy chief minister of Karnataka. The department of Rural Development also released the logo of the campaign: a little boy and a little girl standing in front of the map of Karnataka.The campaign coincides with the Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018 (SSG 2018) survey, being undertaken by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen).

World’s 1st Intertidal Art Gallery Opened in Maldives  :

The Intertidal art gallery called Coralarium is located at the Fairmont Madives Sirru Fen Fushi resort. The Art Gallery is filled with around 30 Sculptures acting as a habitat for coral and other marine species.The frame of the gallery is made up of pH-neutral marine steel and designed to reflect the blue hues surrounding it.

World’s 1st Hindi-Speaking Robot ‘Rashmi’ :

Ranchi-based software developer Ranjit Srivastava is developing the world’s first Hindi-speaking humanoid robot, claimed to cost just Rs50,000 so far.  Named Rashmi, the AI-powered robot can also speak Bhojpuri, Marathi, and English, and is equipped with facial expressions and recognition systems. He was inspired to create Rashmi after seeing Hong Kong-made humanoid ‘Sophia’ in 2016. 

Anurag Sachan appointed MD of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL) :

Anurag Sachan was appointed as Managing Director of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL). Sachan, a 1981-batch officer of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), is at present Chief Administrative Officer of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project. DFCCIL is a special purpose vehicle set up under the administrative control of the Ministry of Railways to undertake planning and development, mobilisation of financial resources and construction, maintenance and operation of the dedicated freight corridors.
