Gauri Khan debuted on Fortune India’s Most Powerful Women list 2018 :

Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and Renowned interior designer and co-owner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Gauri Khan debuts on the list of ‘Fortune India’s 50 Most Powerful Women’ in business’ this year. Being the founder and chief executive office of Gauri Khan Designs, Gauri gained the 42nd spot.

Nepal Launched Social Security Scheme :

Nepal government has launched a Social Security Scheme for formal sector workers of the country. PM of Nepal KP Sharma Oli stated that it was very necessary to strengthen the system in which the government is accountable to its people. People of all ages and categories would be included in the scheme. The new social security scheme is contribution based and it will cover health and medical facilities, safe motherhood, accident, and physical incapacity security, security to dependent family members and security at old age.

Dehradun Airport to be renamed after Atal Bihari Vajpayee :

The Uttarakhand government has decided to rename the Dehradun airport after former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.  The proposal to rename the Jolly Grant airport after Atal Bihari Vajpayee was approved by the state cabinet at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.

Croatia won the 2018 Davis Cup, beating France 3-1 :

Croatia defeated the defending champion France in the final of 2018 Davis Cup organized by BNP Paribas (Banque Nationale de Paris) for secure the title second time after 13 years. Marin Cilic of Croatia defeated France’s Lucas Pouille by 7-6, 6-3 and 6-3 in the final of Davis Cup and sealed the title for france.

India and China signed protocol to Double Taxation avoidance agreement to prevent tax evasion :

The Government of India and the People’s Republic of China signed a protocol to amend the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion through exchange of information. Under Section 90 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, India can enter into an agreement with a foreign country or specified territory for the avoidance of double taxation of income, for the exchange of information for the prevention of evasion.
