Jalaj Srivastava appointed as new IWAI chairman :

Jalaj Srivastava, a 1984 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has been appointed the chairman of the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI).  The IWAI comes under the Union Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, currently headed by Nitin Gadkari. Srivastava is presently working as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture.

Government of India & ADB signed USD 105 Million Loan to Support Hydropower Transmission in HP :

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of India signed a USD 105 million loan to continue financing the transmission system upgrades in Himachal Pradesh.

Lakshya Sen bagged bronze BWF World junior badminton championship :

India’s Lakshya Sen won a bronze medal in the BWF World junior badminton championship at Markham, Canada. He was defeated by Thailand’s Vitidsarn. Lakshya Sen, the 17-year-old from Almora.

Qaumi ekta week observed across country  :

Qaumi Ekta Week observed across the country from November 19th-25th to foster and reinforce the spirit of communal harmony and national integration.  The National Foundation for Communal Harmony, an autonomous organisation with the Ministry of Home Affairs, organises Communal Harmony Campaign coinciding with the Qaumi Ekta Week and observes the Communal Harmony Flag Day on 25th November.

Asab won gold in the 62nd National Shotgun championship :

Mohd. Asab and Ahvar Rizvi defeated Ankur Mittal, the reigning World champion, and won the double trap gold and silver in the 62nd National Shotgun championship held at Jaipur, Rajasthan. Asab shot 134 to beat Ahvar by one point.
