European Union Film Festival will be held in India :

The European Union Film Festival (EUFF) will premiere in New Delhi at the Siri Fort Auditorium. With a selection of 24 latest European films from 23 EU Member States, this years’ film festival brings some unusual stories for the world cinema enthusiasts.  The European Union Film Festival is organized by Directorate of Film Festivals.  The Festival will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Mr Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

India ranked 177 in Environmental Performance Index 2018 :

India has been ranked at 177 out of 180 countries in the 2018 Environmental Performance Index (EPI). India has become the fourth worst country in the world with an air quality score of 5.75 out of 100. India was placed at 141 out of 180 in 2016. The top five countries in terms of green rankings are Switzerland, France, Denmark, Malta and Sweden.

20 States Signed MoU For Implementing Ayushman Bharat – NHP Mission :

Mr J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare exchanged the MoU with the State Health Ministers of 20 States marking their commitment towards the launch of the Ayushman Bharat – National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM). Smt. Anupriya Patel, Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare and Amitabh Kant, CEO NITI Aayog were also present at the function. 

NASA’s unmanned aircraft ‘Ikhana’ will make search and rescue operations efficient :

NASA for the first time successfully flown its large remote-piloted Ikhana aircraft in the public airspace without a safety chase aeroplanes, the US space agency. is a modified General Atomics Aeronautical Systems’ Predator B unmanned aircraft system being used by NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, CA, for a variety of environmental science and aeronautical research roles.

French Open 2018 :

The 2018 French Open (also known as Roland Garros) was a Grand Slam tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 122nd edition of the French Open and the second Grand Slam event of 2018. Rafael Nadal was the defending champion in the Men’s Singles and won his 11th French Open title. Simona Halep won her first Grand Slam title in the Women’s Singles.
