International ICT conference to be held in Nepal :

The Computer Association Nepal (CAN) is organizing an international-level ‘Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Conference-2018′ in Kathmandu. The objective of the conference is to exchange information on the improved practices of information technology.

SEBI Constituted Expert Committee to Frame Rules for Direct Listing of Indian firms Abroad :

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) constituted an Expert Committee to frame rules for direct listing of Indian firms abroad. The committee will examine the economic case for permitting direct listing of Indian companies overseas and listing of Indian companies on foreign bourses in India. The committee includes nine members.

2018 Global Environment Performance Index (EPI) :

India has ranked 177 out of 180 countries in the Global Environment Performance Index (EPI) rankings, as per the State of India’s Environment (SoE) 2018 in Figures that has been released recently. In 2016, India ranked 141 out of 180 countries. The SoE in Figures is an annual compendium of environmental statistics prepared by Down To Earth magazine.

India-Nepal Joint Ex SURYA KIRAN-XIII Culminated :

The 14-day long joint military training exercise SURYA KIRAN-XIII between India & Nepal culminated at Pithoragarh. The training culminated with a 72-hour outdoor exercise in which troops of both contingents carried out a Cordon and Search Operation in a mock counter-insurgency village.

Jane Fonda to receive Lumiere Award :

Jane Fonda, an American activist, will be awarded the Lumiere Award for this year in Lyon, France. The Lumiere Festival is the largest international festival of classic cinema. Festival director Thierry Fremaux will present the award to Jane Fonda.

India’s 1st National Police Museum To Come Up In Delhi :

The Union Government has announced to establish India’s first national police museum in Lutyens’ Delhi. The museum is expected to be inaugurated on 21st October 2018 on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day. The unique museum, depicting the history, artefacts, uniforms and gear of central and state police forces, will come up as an underground facility in the premises of the national police memorial in Chanakyapuri area.
