Dr. Mahesh Sharma Released 3 Books At IGNCA, New Delhi :

Minister of state for Culture (I/C), Dr Mahesh Sharma, released 3 books: ‘Jewellery’, ‘Ghats of Banaras’ and ‘Untold Story of Broadcasting’, at IGNCA (Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts), in New Delhi.

NITI Aayog, CII joined hands for sustainable development :

The NITI Aayog and the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) announced a partnership to work on meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of India. This announcement was made at the Government and Business Partnership Conclave held at New Delhi. It was organised by the NITI Aayog, CII and the United Nations.

Amazon inked MoU with UP govt to boost MSME entrepreneurs under ODOP scheme :

As part of the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, Amazon partnered with UP government to provide support MSME entrepreneurs across nine districts. This will be a part of Amazon India’s Kala Haat programme which aims to help traditional industries to enter in to ecommerce business. Under the programme, 300 MSME sellers registered under UP government’s ODOP scheme would be benefitted.

Nasa Launched Parker Solar Probe To ‘Touch Sun’ :

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) on Sunday blasted off a USD 1.5 billion spacecraft toward the Sun on a historic mission to protect the Earth by unveiling the mysteries of dangerous solar storms.

Rekha Sharma appointed chairperson of National Commission for Women :

Rekha Sharma has been appointed the chairperson of National Commission for Women (NCW). Rekha Sharma was previously a member of NCW. She was holding the additional charge of chairperson after Lalitha Kumaramangalam stepped down from the position in September 2017. Rekha Sharma is 54 years old. She hails from Haryana. Earlier, she was a member of District Consumer & Redressal Forum with the Haryana Government.

Joint postage stamp on India & South Africa approved :

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was apprised of joint issue of Postage Stamps on India-South Africa on the theme, “20 Years of Strategic Partnership between India and South Africa”.

Vice President releases the Book ‘Bebak Baat’ :

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that continuous communication between public representatives and the public is crucial for development of our nation. He was addressing the gathering after releasing the Book ‘Bebak Baat’, authored by the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Statistics & Programme Implementation, Shri Vijay Goel.

Ex-400m world champion Nicholas Bett Passed away :

Former 400m hurdles world champion Nicholas Bett of Kenya died in a car accident. Nicholas Bett was 28 years old. In 2015 IAAF World Championship held in Beijing, he won gold medal.
