Anvar Sadath 1st Indian for International Contribution Award


K.Anvar Sadath is the first Indian to receive the International Contributions Award given by the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), USA. He is the vice chairman and executive director of the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) also known as IT@school Project.

Sadath heads the implementation of Kerala Hi-tech School project and under his guidance over 45,000 class rooms of Classes 8 to 12 have gone hi-tech. KITE has also imparted specific ICT training to over 70000 teachers so far to help them handle the pedagogy-based class room transactions that connect 15,000 schools.

This award is because of Sadath’s outstanding and continuous contributions to the field of educational communication and technology. He will receive this award on October 26,2018 in Kansas City.

The award is constituted by The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), which is a premier professional association for instructional design and educational technology, headquartered at Bloomington, US.
